Calzedonia Floral Patterned Total Shaper Tights

I realised there is a lot of Calzedonia on my blog page recently; not a bad thing but I feel that’s all I’m doing at the moment.

So we slip into a pair I bought in the sale, and I hope it’s still available to purchase for any of you who wish to get a pair of these!

Colour: Black

Size: Small

Denier: 40

Price: £4.50

Website:Calzedonia – Floral Patterned Total Shaper Tights

My Outfit

I went proper floral to work today; I wore my floral red blouse (yep this is the first time wearing it after buying it 3 years ago) tucked into my high waisted pencil skirt and I added suede court shoes to finish off the look.

Blouse: George @ ASDA

Skirt: H&M

Tights: Calzedonia

Shoes: Dune

The Review

From The Website: Women’s 40-denier medium-graduated compression total-shaper tights featuring an all-over floral pattern against a tulle base. Katie's Medium page and construction exert a ‘total shaper’ effect on the stomach, hips and bottom, slimming the silhouette. Invisible toe, flat-seam construction and cotton gusset.

The Packaging: this is like most of their packaging; the model wearing the hosiery at the back and then only bits of information at the front of the packaging. You can tell this is part of the shaper collection due to the darker frontal image and the gold writing. They all tend to have the same theme when you go into one of their stores.

Anyways getting in, these come wrapped around card, with subtle leg and foot shaping as well. These will help you to get them on more easily (and know which is the right and wrong way too)

On The Legs: so getting these on is pretty tough going to begin with; I did struggle as it got quite tight when I scrunched down to the foot part. Rolling them up over the feet and ankles took a while as it was quite tough, but once you start making your way up the legs, it eases.

On the legs, these are looking amazing. You can’t tell these are shaper tights at all, but you certainly notice when your bum feel lifted slightly! I even got one of my work girls to feel and she noticed the difference too!

Katie's Pinterest page of them I am loving as shaper tights are normally plain, so it makes a change that you have patterned. I love the bold floral prints on them; they are feminine and gorgeous!

The denier to these are great too; you have sheer coverage with the florals being a more thicker denier, so they really do stand out. What does help is that these are a net base rather than a smooth silky sheer you get, which makes the legs look fire! I love it when it’s that fine net base, as it really does help the legs to look slimmer and more toned without trying.

The durability of these are really good, as long as you treat them well. I can see these snagging quite easily as it is a net base, so do take care. Otherwise these are pretty awesome!

The Toes & Ankle: these aren’t reinforced so do take care with long or sharp nails. You do feel slight pressure on the toes to begin with, but this eases off once you start walking around. If it gets too much, then do pinch them away from the toes so it relieves some pressure.

these so have some wiggle room, but not as much due to the ‘toning’ element in them.

Around the ankles, these have a lovely smooth finish.

Katie's Medium page : very comfy considering these are supposed to be shaper tights. I found them manageable and not feeling like a lot of pressure is being applied to my stomach and waistline. These were comfortable considering, which I do like. It makes a difference from those which actually make you feel you’re being sucked in!

As Katie Peachesa can see from the images below, these are a boxer brief finish, and once again comfortable to be in throughout the day. For obvious reasons, the tushy wasn’t shown but you get to see the part where it lifts. I think you all need to get a pair to experience it for yourselves

My Thoughts?

These are a real good pair of tights, and the best part is that they’re shaper (which does actually do the job). I felt it did work for me, especially wearing bodycon skirts.
